Maestro Heat Interface

January 10th, 2013

Maestro Heat is a Seattle based company that has developed heated foot rests as a replacement for traditional space heaters. The footrests are much more energy efficient than space heaters and can be controlled via a computer interface.

Maestro had so far only offered support for Windows platforms, and came to me to develop a Mac OS interface. The widget gives you the ability to set a weekly schedule, calculate estimated energy savings over a traditional unit, and set the mat’s temperature.

The software was written primarily in C and Objective-C. Check out Maestro’s products or see the software.
