F.A.S.T (Pristine Fleet)

F.A.S.T. (Fleet Appearance Solutions Tracking) is software for managing the exterior cleaning programs for large airlines. I’ve been developing and designing F.A.S.T. since 2010 and now it is in its 5th version and utilized by both Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines.
One of the key features that has been added in this version is the ability to track cleaning by zone. Since aircraft are not typically cleaned all at once, F.A.S.T. allows for zone based tracking. This gives a clear visual estimate of which zones of each aircraft are due for cleaning. This additionally allows for more accurate cleaning schedule prioritization with our algorithm.
Below is the visual overview for N381HA. Very quickly you can see that most of the forward aircraft is likely clean, whereas the wings, aft-fuselage, jetway rash, and tail are likely in need of attention.
FAST 5 is also aiming to improve transparency. Whenever a zone of an aircraft is cleaned, before and after images are provided for that specific zone. By rolling over any zone of the aircraft, you can quickly see those photos as shown below.
Another goal of F.A.S.T. 5 was to make it completely mobile compatible. Traditionally we have supplied an iOS app for iPhone users, but maintaining both the app and web-based software didn’t give us time to focus on adding new features. F.A.S.T. 5 is built on a responsive front end framework that makes it work great on mobile devices, tablets, and desktops.
